Willard O. Anderson: May 1, 1936 - July 8, 2024. Willard passed away quietly in the early morning at Colorow Care Center, and he went to be with his family and Jesus. He was born in Billings, Montana to Harley and Marvel Anderson. He grew up and graduated from high school in Cody, Wyoming. In 1958, he married the love of his life LaVern (Potts) in Farmington, New Mexico. They traveled around to various parts of the US while Willard worked as a Finish Carpenter. He was in the Carpenters Union doing residential and commercial construction. Willard also served his country twice, serving in the Army. In 1970, they settled in Farmington, New Mexico where they started their family. In 1980, they moved to Cedaredge, Colorado and lived there for 25years before moving to Montrose, where he lived his final years. Willard (Uncle Willard as he was known to many) never met a stranger and made many friends everywhere he went. He was always willing to help where he could and was always a positive and giving man. He never complained and was always happy. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. His family meant everything to him. He loved spending time with his kids and especially his grandkids.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Harley L. Anderson and Marvel Anderson; wife Laverne Anderson; brother Raymond Anderson; sister Audry Edgar (Harry).
Willard is survived by his daughter, Leslie Musselmann (Eric); son, Michael Anderson (Mihoko); granddaughter, Samantha Brown; and grandson, Brock Logan.
Graveside services will be held at the Cedaredge Cemetery on Saturday, July 20, at 10:00 a.m. The family would like to invite you to join them for a celebration of life to follow at the Pondy Banquet Hall on Main Street in Cedaredge
