Treva Jerrlene Burns passed away February 23, 2016 at San Juan Living Center in Montrose, Colorado. Treva was born December 29, 1930 in Pea Green, Colorado to Elmer Elvoid and Zelma Avada (Rosseter) Young. Treva grew up in Colorado and California, where she met the love of her life Thomas Thanuel Burns. They were married August 5, 1951 in El Verano, California.

Treva enjoyed being artistic, she liked to sketch with charcoal, write in calligraphy, play piano, knit, listen to music such as classical, country and jazz. Treva was also known for canning foods as well, but above all the things she enjoyed doing, she loved spending time with her many grandchildren and family members.

Treva is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Thanuel Burns, her son Thomas Steven Burns, and her daughter Judith Burns. Treva is survived by her daughter Bonnie Burns of Oregon, and many many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

There will be a Memorial Service for Treva at the Crippin Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Crippin Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home and Crematory.
