First of all, we would like you to know Grandpa Tom’s Gone Finshin’. Tom left to find his favorite fishing hole on July 19, 2015.

His life was an inspiration to all his family and those whose knew him. No one gave their love so freely and unconditionally as he did. Every man was his friend and he treated everyone with respect and decency. The world is a lesser place in his absence. He will be sorely missed.

Tom is survived by his loving wife Berta Gilmore; one brother Bud (Pat) Gilmore of Grand Junction; his daughters Vicky (Rodger) Powell of Montrose and Sandy (Bill) Gray of Olathe; his two stepdaughters Lynne (Joe) Markum of Thousand Oaks, CA, and Andree Thomas of Elk Grove, CA. Tom is also survived by his grandchildren Clint (Carrie) Powell of Montrose, Heather (Dustin) Keppen of Glendale, AZ, Leora Gray of Montrose and Kirk (Jenae) Gray of Olathe; his step grandchildren Matthew Markum and Blake Markum of Thousand Oaks, CA, Shaun (Jolene) Thomas of Pensacola, FL, and Shantel Thomas of Elk Grove, CA and his 11 Great Grandchildren.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents Merritt Victor Gilmore and Rose Lillian (Mills) Gilmore and his late wife Leora Gilmore.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that you please make a donation in Tom’s name to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Posse, Attention: Undersheriff Murdie, 1200 North Grand Avenue, Montrose, CO 81401. There will be a memorial service to celebrate Tom’s life at Grace Community Church, Friday July 24, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home and Grand View Cemetery.
