Tammy Jo Lane-Lasher left this life, from a hemorrhagic stroke, for the eternal kingdom on 7/18/19 at the St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. Her viewing at Grace Community Church will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday July 27, 2019, the service follows at 11:00 a.m. delivered by her pastor Calvin Schwarz.
Born December 18th, 1958, in Shelby, Montana, she was raised by her wonderful parents Bonnie and Donald. Preceded in death by Donald “Shady Lane” and her son Nathan. She is survived by her mother Bonnie, her brother Tom, her husband Roque, her kids Jarrod-wife Amanda R., Jonathan, Jacob-wife Amanda M., Misty, and Matthew, her 9 grandchildren, her dogs Tucker and Chevy, and extended family and friends.
While she was raised in Cutbank, she traveled and made her way to Montrose, CO. In her 34 years on the Western Slope, she created everlasting bonds with the entire community. There wasn’t a place she went that she didn’t make a friend. She found love and married February 18, 2011, to her loving husband Roque Lasher.
Being a full-time wife, employee, mom, and friend, Tammy still managed to work extra time to obtain her Associate’s degree from Southern University. Even still she found time for her passions which included: camping, fishing, family, and dogs. She also enjoyed worshiping at Grace Community Church. Anything she set her mind to, she accomplished. Her dedication to her career at City Market is a testament to that, as she studied relentlessly to become a Pharmacy technician.
Tammy’s infectious spirit and smile captured every single person’s hearts. She had a smile that lit up any room or space she entered. Her selfless nature was shown by always putting the needs of others above her own. The warmth of her heart emitted an everlasting flame to all she encountered. While she loved her family with all her being, she shared that all-encompassing love with all her friends. A mom forever, an amazing grandma, a loving wife, and a caring friend will be endlessly loved and cherished by all the lives she touched.
