Susanna C. (Susie) Broome of Montrose passed away Friday, July 24, 2015 in her home with her husband at her side. She is survived by her loving husband Stan Broome, her children Vicky Hardy of Aurora, Bill Hardy if Delta, Chris Broome-Plemons of Littleton, and Barbara Frare of Fort Collins along with 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Susie was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She later attended East High School in Denver. Susie and Stan lived in Grand County, Glenwood Springs and finally made a lasting home in Montrose. While in Montrose, Susie worked at the CSU extension office managing the 4H program. Susie served on the Montrose City Council from 1996-2000 and served as Mayor during her term. As Mayor, Susie helped to create the first Boys and Girls Club in the Montrose area. Susie was much loved by her family and friends; she will be greatly missed.

Services in remembrance of Susie will be held in the chapel of the Crippin Funeral Home on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Black Canyon Boys and Girls Club.
