Sonny Glen Jones, age 57, passed away on October 9, 2016 in the comforts of his home, with his family at his side. Sonny was born on April 4, 1959 in Montrose, Colorado to Edward and Coral (Yates) Jones. Sonny grew up in Montrose, and was a member of the E.L.K.S Club, an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting, and his pets. Sonny worked as a carpenter, but he was also a man of many talents. Sonny was also a man of God. His younger sister Sarah said, “He belongs to God, we just got to borrow him for a while.”

Sonny is survived by his mother, Coal Mae Jones of Montrose, CO; his brother Eddie Jones of Montrose, CO; his sisters Margaret Hall and Sarah Jones. Sonny is preceded in death by his father Edward Louise Jones Sr., and his brother Edward Louis Jones Jr.

There will be a Funeral Service on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Crippin Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Dallas Park Cemetery in Ridgway, Colorado. There will be a reception for family and friends at the E.L.K.S Lodge following the burial. Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home and Crematory.
