Shirley “Mae” Williams Hill
February 7, 1930 – December 11, 2019
Our dear mother has gone home to be with the Lord. Her faith and love for Christ has supported her enduring journey from being born premature at 3 pounds to everything else this world could throw at her. She worked very hard all her life and made a substantial contribution to our family’s wellbeing. We are grateful to her for showing us how to find Grace in the most difficult of times. Music was very important to her; she was active in Church choirs and her feet never missed a beat even while she was asleep. Her mission in life, albeit difficult sometimes, was to keep a song in her heart and smile on her face. Her smile and giggle will be missed, she brought joy to our lives every day but we know Heaven is a little brighter with her in it. Mom was preceded in death by her parents Foster & Mildred, husband of 48 years Lowell R. Hill and brother Lewis “Cey” Williams (Frances). She is survived by her sons Larry Curtis (Jan) & Danny Hill. Internment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Churchville, Iowa. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hopewest Hospice.
Memorial Service in honor of Shirley is scheduled for January 11, 2020 at 1:00pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Montrose.
