Sharon Kaye Barrett (Mccreary)

Sharon Kaye Barrett, age 80, of Montrose, CO, passed away on January 7, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born on October 20, 1943, to George McCreary and Martha Ferman in Metamora, IN.

Sharon was a beloved wife to Richard Barrett of Laurel, IN.  Together they raised three children: Jason Barrett, Lance Barrett, and Kendra Barrett. She was a proud grandmother to Zach Barrett, Adam Barrett, and Jake Shook.  She was also a mother and grandmother by marriage to Patsy Barrett and Marilyn and Madeline Alger.

Sharon has always loved God and was an anchor to her family.  Her most cherished occupation was being a homemaker, mother and “grammy”.  She dedicated her time and love to her family, creating a life full of love and fostered a foundation that her family continues to build upon.  Her Christian faith was deeply rooted and many sought refuge in her friendship.

Friday, January 19, 2024.  Crippin Funeral Home, 802 E. Main St, Montrose, CO 81401.  Viewing at 2:00pm, Funeral Service at 3:00pm.

Sharon will be deeply missed and her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
