Rosetta M. Huonder

Rosetta M. “Rose” Huonder was born May 4, 1943 to George and Isabelle (Sicard) Nyman in Stillwater, MN. Rose spent her childhood and received her education in New Richmond, Wisconsin. She went on to Charles T. Miller School of Nursing in St. Paul, MN.
Rose married Dennis E. Huonder on May 22, 1965 in St. Paul, MN, and he survives. From St. Paul, Rose and Dennis with their three children moved to Montrose, CO in 1977 and she was an L.P.N. with San Juan Living Center for many years. Rose enjoyed spending time with her family, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and weaving was her passion.
Surviving family members include her husband, Dennis, mother, Isabelle of Santa Ana, CA., children Mary (Jeff) Jones of Texas, Russell (Wendi Pakan)) Huonder of Windsor, CO; Edward (Mary Bell) Huonder of Erie, CO; two sisters Dianne Nyman of Santa Ana, CA., and Kathleen (Robert) Garfinkel of Luxemburg, WI; grandchildren Zachary, Andrew, Cole, Kathryn, Adam and Abigail. Rose was preceded in death by her father, step-father and one grandchild Madeline.
At Rose’s request, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow the service at Grand View Cemetery, west of Montrose. Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory of Montrose is assisting the family.
