Ralph Fredrick Young, age 73, passed away on March 12, 2018 at Horizons Care Center in Eckert, CO, with his loving family at his side.
Fred was born on June 19, 1944 in Alamosa, Colorado to Cecil H. and Dorothy May (Alger) Young. With his grandparents Jessie and Charles Young Fred grew up in Olathe and graduated from Olathe High School. On October 18, 1964 Fred married the love of his life, Judy Mumm in Olathe; they celebrated 53 years of marital bliss. Fred spent his years working as a mechanic, and enjoyed working on cars and trucks. He was a member of the Victory Baptist Church, enjoyed fishing, and collecting rocks.
Fred is survived by his loving wife, Judy Young of Montrose, CO; his sons, Allen Young of Palm Springs, CA; John (Stacie) Young of San Antonio, TX; Mike Young of Montrose, CO; his daughters Bonnie (James) Birawer of Montrose, CO; Charity (Harold) Womack of Montrose, CO; his brother, Don Young and sister, Hope Tilley; 16 Grandchildren; and eight Great-Grandchildren.
There will be a Funeral Service on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Victory Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Olathe Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home and Crematory.
