Ralph Earl (Luther) Williams

RALPH EARL (LUTHER) WILLIAMS

Ralph Williams was born on New years Eve, December 31, 1932 to Ralph Bert Williams and Ruth Elizabeth (Fisher) Williams on a farm east of Delta, CO.  He was the 3^rd of of 7 siblings. Ralph became the family gardener and loved to cook. He attended schools in Delta and graduated from Delta High School in 1951. During the Korean War, Ralph joined the Colorado National Guard right out of high school, spent 8 years as a cook, and was honorably discharged in 1959. In 1955, he moved to Montrose CO and married Anne Rumbaugh. They had one child together, Earl Wayne, who died of cancer on March 31, 2011. Ralph enjoyed working at many jobs and became an accomplished welder, mechanic, and truck driver. He had a passion for music and enjoyed playing drums with the “String Busters”, the first ever to play at the Wagon Wheel, and joined numerous other groups and bands. Ralph was a lifetime member of the NRA and loved hunting. Ralph is survived by 2 brothers, 2 sisters, his daughter-in-law Pauline Williams, 3 grandchildren (Andrew, Amelia & Paul) and 2 great grandchildren (Carter Savanah).
