Phyllis E Joseph (Bennett)

Nucla resident Phyllis E. Joseph passed away on Nov. 29, 2018 at Larchwood Inn in Grand Junction, CO. She was 81 years old. A private family service will be held.

Phyllis Elizabeth Bennett was born Sept. 12, 1937 to Harry and Dorothy (Evans) Bennett at Norwood, CO. She grew up in Norwood attending Placerville Elementary and graduating from Norwood High School. She married the love of her life, Larry Joseph, on Aug. 23, 1953 in Ouray, CO at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Evans. Phyllis spent her life raising her 7 sons and providing a comfortable home for she and her husband.

Phyllis enjoyed camping, fishing, exploring her family genealogy, and above all else spending time with her 7 sons, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Joseph, her sons; Garry (Coleen) of Norwood, CO, and family, Terry (Jean) of Greeley, CO and family, Jerry (Christine) of Firestone, CO and family, Larry (Kristina) of Bayfield, CO and family, Darry of Nucla, CO and family, Barry (Shanna) of Grand Jct., CO and family, Kerry (Sandra) of Eaton, CO and family, and her brother; Lyle (Wanda) Bennett of Clifton, CO and her much loved grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Dorothy Bennett, and her in-laws, Harold and Elizabeth (Dick) Davis Joseph.
