Patricia June Brown (Littlejohn)

Patricia June Brown (Littlejohn) age 82, passed away April 16, 2023 at Hope West in Grand Junction Colorado. She was born February 12, 1941 in Nucla Colorado to June Lillie Littlejohn (Rice) and Ivan Ellsworth (John) Littlejohn.

She graduated from Nucla High School in 1959 and completed one year of college at Western State College in Gunnison Colorado. In 1962, Patricia married the love of her life, Luther Patrick (Pat) Brown. They began their lives together in Marysville California where Patrick was stationed in the USAF. Their first child, Paula June Brown was born in March of 1964. After Patrick finished his enlistment in the Air Force, they then returned to Nucla the same year.

Their second child, Penni Earon Philbrick (Brown) was born September of 1966. Patricia began her career as Nucla Town Clerk in 1968, she loved her job and the people she met. She retired in 2006 after 38 years of service.

Patricia had many interests and talents. She was an accomplished seamstress, sewing all of her own clothes and dresses for her girls’ piano recitals and much more. She enjoyed ice skating, roller skating and playing saxophone in her younger years. She loved 4-wheeling, picnics with family and friends, family reunions, Bronco football and everything grand kid and great-grand kid related. Some of her most cherished memories were of family vacations. She volunteered as a member and president of Spruce & Columbine Garden Club 2008-2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, June and John Littlejohn and her brother Lawrence Kent (Butch) Littlejohn. She is survived by her husband of 60+ years, Pat Brown; Daughter Paula Brown (Don); Daughter Penni Philbrick (Martin); Grandson; Seth Patrick Knob (Micaela); Granddaughter; Brittany Earon Berry, Grandson; Derrik Allen Brown, Granddaughter Sarah Marie Brown, great grandchild; Danielle Marie Knob and Landyn John Brown. Along with 20 beloved nieces and nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law and treasured extended family.

Funeral services will be held April 22, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Nucla Congregational Church located at 696 Main Street, Nucla Colorado. Officiated by Leroy Archer. Graveside service to follow at Nucla Cemetery.
