Oliver Lee “Bud” Swyhart

Oliver Lee “Bud” Swyhart, age 91, passed away June 5, 2017 in the comforts of his home in Montrose, Colorado. Oliver was born September 6, 1925 to Pete E. and Della E. (Lane) Swyhart, in Ridgway, Colorado. In September of 1946 Oliver married the love of his life Anna Lois Bay in Kansas City, Missouri. They were married 55 years before Anna’s passing in 2002. Bud was in the motor pool in the U.S. Army, a painter for Ford Motor Company for 17 years, and a mechanic that worked on cars, trucks, heavy equipment, lawn mowers, chainsaws…pretty much anything with a motor. He enjoyed playing cards, dancing and bowling. He was special, unique, and irreplaceable place in the hearts of all who loved him. He will be deeply missed.
Bud is survived by his daughter Leann Atikinson of Kansas City, Missouri; daughter Linda Milbrath and husband Bob of Beaumont, Texas; son Rick Swyhart and wife Patricia of Arlington, Texas; son Rodney Swyhart of Arlington, Texas; son Robert Swyhart and wife Debbie of Euless, Texas; and daughter Dori Coyle and husband Jim of Plano, Texas as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bud is preceded in death by his wife Anna Lois Swyhart, his brother Dick Swyhart and daughter in law Debbie Swyhart.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 12, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Crippin Funeral Home Chapel with Military Honors. Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home and Crematory. (970) 249-2121
