Nora Belle (Miller) Kubin was born in a cabin the day after Christmas in 1933 Lingshire, Montana. Her early years were spent on her family ranch outside Ennis, Montana where she and her brothers and only sister roamed the forest next to the ranch.
In 1951 she met the love of her life Edwin Kubin, with whom she would spend 63 years, at a local dance. They married and raised six children here in Montrose, surviving her are Leonard (Patti). Terri (Gale), Andy (Ruth), Kathy (Eric), Chris, and Roxanne (Jeff) seven grandchildren, and two great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by Edwin in 2016.
Nora was a longtime member of Our Lady of Fatima parish in Olathe, where she was active in the Alter and Rosary Society, teaching catechism and participating in other church functions. In recent years she attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Montrose
Her hobbies were quilting, ceramics and baking, her pies were legendary. Some of her baby quilts made their way to California where they were gifted to several prominent actresses. She was an avid Bingo player never missing a week while her husband served as Bingo master. She enjoyed traveling in their RV from state to state and seeing some of the great wonders of the world.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who never missed the chance to be with all her family, she will be greatly missed, by family and friends
A Vigil will be held Monday, November 12th, at St. Mary Catholic Church at 7:00 P.M., the Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 13th at 10:00 A.M. also at St Mary Catholic Church. Concluding service and interment will take place at Cedar Cemetery in Montrose.
