On March 26, 2015, Nina Eileen Griffoth, age 66, went home to be with her Lord and with her much beloved husband Austin Leroy.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Adrian and Rachel Corbett, and sister, LaVonne.  She leaves behind her only daughter, Vikki Eileen Griffoth of Montrose, CO; and four siblings; her brother, Adrian Corbett of Meeker, CO; and three sisters, Lucille Prettyman of Joplin, MO., Juanita Edwards of Somerset, CO., and Dora Dunton of Meeker, CO., as well as many nieces and nephews.

Eileen was born May 4, 1948 in Platteville, CO.  She married Leroy Griffoth in 1965, and had their daughter, Vikki in 1977. Eileen and Leroy lived in Southern Missouri throughout their entire marriage.  Eileen was affectionately known as “Mom” to many kids and friends.  She was employed in the jewelry department of Walmart in both Missouri and then in Montrose.  She became known as “The Watch Lady” for her skills.  We will all miss her beautiful smile, her sweet spirit and the love she gave to everyone she met.

A Celebration of Nina’s life will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Ridgway Christian Center, 120 Redcliff Drive, in Ridgway, Co.   Inurnment will be in Joplin, Mo., at a later date.  Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Co., is assisting the family.
