Molly Mary Vigil, age 88, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the Hope West Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction, CO.
Molly was born October 4, 1929 to Theodore and Celestina (Archuleta) Quintana in Center, Colorado. Molly grew up in Center and graduated from Leadville High School in Leadville, CO. She earned the title of C.N.A. and worked for Montrose Memorial Hospital for several years. She took pride in caring for and being in service of others. Molly’s passions were her faith, her family, and music, dancing and traveling. She traveled with her children to California, Texas, and Canada, Mexico and Barcelona, Spain, as well as many placed throughout Colorado.
We will miss her love and genuine heart. Molly was the matriarch of faith in her family. She laid our spiritual foundation. She faithfully led by example. She accepted each of us as we were and prayed for all of us daily, a rosary never far from her reach. Molly will continue to guide us and encourage us through the faith that lives on in all of us. What a joy it is to know she heard her savior say “well done though good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of the Lord.”
Molly is survived by her children, daughters; Elaine Martinez, Loretta (John) Wyman, Julie (Bob) Shayne, sons; Jacob (Marilyn) Vigil, and Dean Vigil. Grandchildren; Tina, Tim, Denny, Chris, Kenny, Danielle, Dylan, Aaron, Darren, Tyler, Ashley, Derek, Sierra, Sophia and Anavey as well as 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
