Michaela Earlene Kahle
March 15, 1990 – February 27, 2014
Michaela Kahle entered this world prematurely, weighing only 2 ½ pounds on March 15, 1990. She tragically departed, much too soon, February 27, 2014 in an automobile accident.
She was full of life, and going in a hundred directions at a dizzying speed. Michaela was raised in Montrose and attended schools there, then finished her last year and graduated from Palisade High School in 2008.These years included cheerleading, sports and club activities – once organizing & packaging items for moms and newborns. She assisted in the the nursery at Canyon View Sunday school and traveled to Japan with the youth group. After graduation, she attended CMU, volunteered at Hilltop, and worked as a customer service representative with StarTek before transferring to Greeley for two years. Here and later again in Montrose, she worked at Applebees. Free time included a special trip to Hawaii, camping out, motocross, horses, crafts, dancing, music, and especially being surrounded constantly by family and friends.
She had a huge wonderful heart; she was passionate about our armed forces, and our country; she was a soft touch to rescue and find homes for animals, she couldn’t pass a child or an older person without a hug and a smile, if you needed help, she was there, she was a great listener.
Special occasions, large and small, were sprinkled with heartfelt poems, chocolate kisses, homemade gifts, bright ribbons, and love. She could make any gathering a party. And though this short life was also filled with a great amount of strife, challenge, and heartbreak, she searched out God for answers – knowing that He often carried her as in the poem “Footprints”.
December 9, 2013 little John Spencer Kahle was born to Michaela and he stole her heart. She was a beautiful and tender mother, excitedly planning their future together. We all loved her with all our hearts – she loved everyone right back. She spread joy and now has left us a new life here to cherish and hold as she has been called to journey a new path.
Michaela is survived by her young son, John; her parents, Rick and Michelle Kahle; 2 brothers, Aron (Kimberly) Kahle of Arizona, and Caden Spencer Kahle of Montrose. She is also survived by Mike and Shawna Brickey; Sheena Brickey Ludeman, Tasha Brown, Heather Sigfield, and Mandy DeBuono.
