Michael Dwaine Foulk

Michael Dwaine Foulk, age 62, of Ridgway, Colorado lost his life to a cardiac arrest, doing his favorite four-wheeling sport on November 6, 2014.  Michael was born January 17, 1952 in Pueblo, Colorado to Robert and Elva Foulk.  He spent his young life in Las Animas, Colorado and graduated from Las Animas high school in 1971.  Michael went on to College at Otero Junior College in LaJunta, Colorado. On October 31, 1993, Michael married Becky Zorn in Ridgway.

Michael worked for Colorado Department of Transportation for 20 years.  He then retired in 2007 but continued to reside in Ridgway, where they made their home until Michael’s time of death.  He made many lifelong friends while living and working in Ridgway.  Michael was wonderful son, husband and father, and will be missed by all who knew him.  He loved sports; hunting, fishing, camping, 4-wheeling and the great outdoors.  Michael did leather carving’s through the years and enjoyed gardening and baking. In his younger years he was very active in 4-H, leather crafts, little britches, along with the volunteer fire fighter and Elk’s Lodge Member.

Survivors include his wife, Becky Foulk, of the family home; Michael’s parents Robert and Elva from Las Animas; Becky’s parents Arthur and Diana Zorn of Concord, North Carolina; son Jason Michael Foulk of Sunnyvale, California; daughter, Ashley Lynn (Craig Costanik) of Milliken, Colorado; brothers Steven (Nancy) Foulk of Muncie, Indiana, Doug and (Michelle) Foulk of Craig, Colorado; grandchildren Demetri and Alyssa.  Michael was preceded in death by Grandparents George and Helen Foulk and Mable and Estel Banks.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, south location in Montrose. Interment will follow the service at Dallas Park Cemetery, in Ridgway, Colorado. Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Colorado.
