Merry Lee Kuboske

Merry Lee Kuboske, age 75, passed away on January 9, 2017 at the San Juan Living Center in Montrose, Colorado. Merry Lee was diagnosed with cancer nearly two years ago, and was given six months to live. Her strong will and happiness for life kept her strong until her passing.
Merry Lee was born July 14, 1941 to Francis L. and Mary E. (Chisholm) Kuboske in Reno, Nevada. Merry Lee had many occupations in her lifetime, and she was always searching for more knowledge. She even went back to college later in life to brush up on her studies. Her most memorable experience was being a part of the San Juan Scenic Jeep Tours (in Ouray, CO), the legend her father built. The people she met during that time she cherished, and she never forgot a face or name. Merry Lee went on as an accountant, and moved back to Montrose, where she retired. Merry Lee was a friend to many, and she was never shy about letting you know who she was, and also she wanted to know you too. She cherished her friendships, and she had many lifelong buddies that she held very dear to her.
Merry Lee served her country in the United States Navy, and was discharged in 1965. In 1976 she earned her bachelor degree in science from Mesa Collage after graduation from Ouray High School in 1959. She also had some Catholic Schooling. She was very involved with the V.A. and was a part of the Jeep Jamboree Club, and many, many other clubs and organizations.
Merry Lee is survived by her brother Bernie Kuboske, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Merry Lee is preceded in death by her parents Francis and Mary Kuboske. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Crippin Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
