Last night heaven gained an angel…. my grandpa. As a kid I spent my summers at his house. He taught me to fish and I’ll never forget him telling me I wouldn’t catch any fish if I didn’t stop talking, makes me wonder if that’s why I’m still not the best fisherman because I still don’t know how to be quiet while fishing. I remember collecting wood with him in the mountains for the wood burning stove, going on road trips with him and going to church services with him. I watched him be a dependable man in his community in several ways from being a foster parent to building churches aboard for those that needed a place to worship to mention a few. In total he had 8 children, 21 grandchildren, and even more great grandchildren. He loved each of us as if we were the only kid, grandkid, or great grandkid. He was always being a goofball and rarely acted his age. He was a hardworking man working in the mines in his younger years and even once he retired he always kept busy and didn’t sit well. Sunday we were talking and he was saying what a wonderful family we have and how much he loved all of us. He loved god, family, fishing, hunting, horseshoes, basketball and tinkering. He was always had a project he was working on. RIP grandpa love you
