Mary Louise Mardock

Mary Louise Mardock born on January 24, 1929 in Wichita Kansas, passed away peacefully on May 31,2024. She was the adored daughter of Frank and Leota McCurry and loving wife of Robert L. Mardock. Her warmth, care and guidance as a mother to her children extended to her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

 Mary was a graduate of Friends University with a degree in Home Economics.  

When she wasn’t sewing, knitting, cooking and baking delicious homemade bread, cakes and cinnamon rolls for her family, she was busy being a Cub Scout Den Mother, Girl Scout Leader, in charge of the kitchen at the Methodist church (who named her Woman of the Year) and a Docent at the medical museum, which she was in charge of for one year.

Mary was one of the founders of the SW Medical Auxiliary and President for one year. She helped put together the Harris County Medical Society Auxiliary Cookbook in 1982.

Mary’s favorite memories were traveling with family to Mexico, Bethlehem, a Mediterranean Cruise, England, France, Spain, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, her son Frank, 3 sisters and one brother.  She is survived by 2 brothers, 2 daughters, 3 sons, 2 sons-in law, 2 daughters-in law, 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, all of whom will profoundly miss her nurturing spirit. Mary’s life was a testament to the power of love and the bonds of family.

 Her friends, who became an extended family, will fondly remember Mary’s kindness and the joy she brought to their lives. Mary Louise Mardock’s legacy of love and dedication will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched.
