Marty Collins, age 47, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 22, 2014 in Los Altos, California.  Marty was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on March 11, 1967.

Marty is survived by his beloved wife, Renée, their cats Karl and Rider and his dog Bowie.  He was preceded in death by his wonderful mother, Kitty Collins and his Grandparents Paul and Irene Collins.  He is survived by his father Dan Collins and wife Cherie, of Montrose, Colorado.  He is also survived by sister Cindy Loeffler and husband Charles and sister Debbie Barone and husband Michael, and six nieces and nephews.

Marty graduated from Fruita Monument High School in Fruita, Colorado and earned a BS degree in Applied Math from Colorado State University.

Marty completed his 20th year with Cisco Systems. During his career at Cisco he traveled to many countries including Australia, Canada, Belgium, England, France, Holland, Italy, Mexico, South Africa, Scotland, Switzerland and Turkey. He felt at home on the Hawaiian island of Maui. He enjoyed many outdoor activities including gardening, off road biking, hiking and cheering for the San Francisco Giants and the Denver Broncos.

Marty developed a large circle of colleagues during his tenure at Cisco.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Marty at 10 am on Wednesday, December 31 at the Crippin Funeral Home Chapel in Montrose, Colorado. A brief graveside ceremony will follow at the Grand View Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Colorado.
