Marlene Vonna Fields, of Montrose, Colorado has left this life at age 77, residing at Valley Manor Care Center in Montrose at the time of her passing on September 12, 2014 at 6:00 P.M.

Marlene was born July 1, 1937 in Pueblo, Colorado and preceded her parents, Orlin and Earlene Fields.  She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Trainor, her two brothers, Darryl and Floyd and their families.

Marlene was a tax appraiser for several counties in Colorado; Fremont, County, Pueblo County and Maricopa County in litigation residential and commercial evaluations and assessments.  She lived in Penrose, Colorado and graduated from Penrose High School and received several certifications in her life’s work.  She was always full of humor and was loved dearly by her family and friends.

At Marlene’s request, cremation has taken place and a service will take place at a later date.  I thank Valley Manor for their care and concern for my mom.  We thank Crippin Funeral Home for their professionalism and outstanding assistance in our time of struggling with our beloved mom, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and great aunt in her departure.  The journey we lead in life may be long or short, no matter the length of time we share with each other.  May we have had an impact and made a difference and may we be remembered fondly.  Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Co.
