Margot Beth Wurst

Margot Beth Wurst, age 63, of Montrose County, Colorado died Monday, December 7, 2015 at her home; after a five year battle with cancer.  Margot was born in Albuquerque, NM on December 31, 1951 to Walter Kenneth and June Lucille (Pfeffer) Gieselman.  She spent her childhood in Albuquerque, then Lakewood, Colorado and graduated from Jefferson High School there.  Margot moved to California where she worked in real estate and banking.  She moved to Montrose, from California in 2003 and Montrose was her home until her time of death.

Margot married Robert “Bob” Wurst in 2004.  In Montrose she followed her passion for helping people and in 2007 she became a certified Master Christian Life Coach. She has also been active in her church and with other cancer victims.  She loved Western Colorado and has touched many people here, as well as in other places, through her coaching.

Surviving family members include her husband, Bob Wurst of the family home; mother June Gieselman of Burlington, Iowa, son David Phillips, his wife Reagan and son, Neil Phillips of Cameron Park, California; one sister, Dianne and her husband Ted Stiner of Noblesville, Indiana; Step-daughter Sherry Livingston and Sherry’s children Samuel and Elanor Livingston of Charleston, South Carolina; Step son Jeff Wurst, his wife Spring and their children Ian, Elijah, Kelsey, Nicholas, Aaliah, Shay and Silas Wurst of Nampa, Idaho.

A Celebration of Margot’s Life will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Grace Community Church on Woodgate Rd., at 10:00 am.  The Service will conclude at the Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Community Church, (Cancer Care Ministry) 16731 Woodgate Rd., Montrose, Co.  81401. Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, in Montrose, Colorado is assisting the family.
