Margaret Marie (Stacy) Murdock

February 16, 1923 ~ August 28, 2014

Margaret Marie (Stacy)) Murdock was born February 16, 1923, in Telluride, CO, and died on August 28, 2014, at the age of 91.  Her parents were George Alva Stacy and Bessie (Trevithick) Stacy, who were both born in Telluride, CO.  She married Clyde Hubbard in 1940; that marriage ended in divorce.  She married Ray Crane in 1948; Ray preceded her in death in 1972.  She later married Rex Murdock of Vista, CA, in 1978; Rex preceded her in death in 1987.

She is survived by three sons:  Wayne (Sharon) Hubbard of Norwood, CO; Dan (Kathy) Crane and Joe (Janie) Crane all of Montrose, CO; and one daughter Sybil Crane (Jeff Daniels) of Clifton, CO.  She is also survived by a sister, Schella (Richard) Padilla of Queen Creek, Arizona.  Margaret has seven grandchildren:  Jeff (Michelle) Hubbard of Ft. Collins, CO; Danny Hubbard of Montrose, CO; Brianne (Curtis) Thacker of Provo, UT; Shelley (David) Morgan of Riverton, UT; Kelley Crane, Shannon (Mike) Keith, and Crystal (Jeremy) Smith, all of Montrose, CO.  She also has 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as other family members.  Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Phyllis Meyers and Wilma Stone, and sister-in-law, Rhue Wing.

Margaret is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and belonged to the Spring Creek Ward.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014, from 4-6 pm at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel, Montrose, CO.  Funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Hillcrest Drive in Montrose, CO, at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 5, 2014.  The service will conclude at the church and private graveside services for the family will follow at Olathe Cemetery in Olathe, Co.  Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Co.
