Major Daniel B Greenwood, USAF (Ret.)
Daniel B Greenwood, 68, of Elkhorn, NE, died Monday, August 3, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.
Dan was born in Pueblo, Colorado on November 27, 1946. He graduated from Montrose High School in 1964 and from the University of Colorado in 1970 with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1970, went to Officers Training School in 1972 and then trained as a navigator. He served as a WSO on the F-4, F-111, and F-15, and as a RSO on the SR-71 Blackbird. He retired from the Air Force in 1990. Dan received a law degree from Creighton University in 1991 and practiced patent law for several years. Dan enjoyed golf and music including playing guitar and keyboard.
He is survived by his mother Virginia Greenwood, his sister Jan Daoust, his son Richard Emery Greenwood, his nephew Barry Greenwood, and his great-nephews Gabriel and Joshua Greenwood. Services and inurnment will be held at Grand View Cemetery in Montrose, Co. on Sunday, Aug. 23 at 2:00.
