Lorene M. Wiseman

April 27, 1923- February 15, 2016

Lorene M. Wiseman was born April 27, 1923 to Melvin and Edna May (Bostock) Covert in Gibbon, Nebraska, where she spent her childhood and graduated from high school. She went on to college at Western Slope Cosmetology in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Lorene married Orie K. Wiseman on October 4,1944 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Orie preceded her in death on November 22, 2001. She resided in Grand Junction, Colorado for many years. Some of her happiest times were spent on horseback with her friends and family. Later on in life she moved to Montrose, Colorado to be closer to her son and his family.Many happy days were spent with her great-grandchildren.

Lorene was a member of Northeast Christian Church in Grand Junction, Colorado. Before Lorene retired, she worked as a Beautician, but enjoyed her retired her years. Lorene loved spending her time with her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were so very special to her. They will miss the time she spent with them.

Surviving members include her son Jerry (Susan) Wiseman of Montrose, Colorado, and Jerry &Susan’s children Tennile M. (Matthew) Palmer of Durango, Colorado, Ashley (Darren) Wyatt of Montrose, Colorado.

Daughter Judy L. (Andrew) Smith Monaghan of Denver, Co, and Judy’s children, Trevor Smith of  Las Vegas, Nevada, Mindy L. Smith of Laguna Niguel California.

Great Grandchildren, Cheyanne Palmer, Lane Palmer, Danielle Sheek, Cade Sheek, Chase Sheek and Christen Wyatt.

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents Melvin & Edna May Covert, an infant son Theodore “Teddy” Wiseman, and her three brothers Max, Sonny and Jerry.

A Funeral Service in celebration of Lorene’s life will be held on Monday February 22, 2016 at 2:00pm at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Welch officiating. Interment will follow the service at Cedaredge Cemetery in Cedaredge, Colorado. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope West Hospice, 725 S. 4th Street Montrose, Colorado 81401. Crippin Funeral Home, in Montrose, is assisting the family.
