Livia Voehringer

Livia Voehringer, age 90, of Montrose, passed away at Sunrise Creek Assisted Living in Montrose, Colorado. Livia Voehringer, was born September 21, 1925 in Silverton, Colorado to Alfred and Ida (Bassetti) Fedrizzi. Livia spent her childhood and graduated from Silverton High School. She married Emil Voehringer on June 2, 1946 in Silverton, where they lived until Emil’s passing in 2010. In 1955 they purchased the Conoco Gas Station and then Emil built their family home, all in Silverton. Later they built a motel and grocery store there. In the early 1970’s Emil built the second floor of the motel hiring the local miners for assistance. In April 1975, Emil & Livia sold the motel and Conoco. Livia was also a member of the Catholic Church.
Livia is survived by her son Marvin (Jimmie) Voehringer on Montrose, CO; her daughter Linda Schwarz of Montrose, Colorado, four grandchildren, Calvin, Kim, Ryan, Heidi; and one great grandson Mark. Livia is preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Ida Fedrizzi, four brothers, and three sisters.
Memorial contributions may be made to HopeWest Hospice in memory of Livia’s, 725 South 4th Street, Montrose, CO 81401. There will be a Funeral Service for Livia on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 11:00 am at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Grand View Cemetery, west of Montrose. Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home and Grand View Cemetery.
