Lisa Harlan, age 59, of Olathe passed away September 18, 2017 at her home. She was born December 26, 1957 to John T. and Cleo A. (Grubbs) Sowers in Phoenix, Arizona. Lisa spent her childhood and received her education in Phoenix. She met and married Jon S. Harlan on April 8, 1979 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Lisa was a member of the Olathe United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family, and will be greatly missed by them. Lisa enjoyed reading, playing the piano and playing cards and watching the Colorado Rockies.
Surviving family members include her husband, Jon S. Harlan of Olathe; her mother Cleo; son Scott Harlan of Grand Junction; daughter Ginn Lasley of Montrose; brother Kent Sowers of Phoenix, Arizona, and sister, Edie Bennett of Orange, California; and also four grandchildren. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John W. Sowers.
A Memorial Service in celebration of Lisa’s life will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the New Life Family Worship Center with Pastor Doug Hill officiating. The service will conclude at the church. Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
