Linda Carrol Blomstrom passed away on May 4, 2018.

Born in Corpus Christi, TX on January 1, 1943 to Homer and Pauline Stanhope, she grew up in Kansas and Colorado. She was married in 1960 to Charles Gowen with whom she had four children. She later married Tom Blomstrom and they lived in the Monument Colorado area until 2011, at which time they moved to Montrose Colorado with their dog Laddie.
Linda loved her family and friends, her pets, feeding wild birds, dancing, garage sales, building projects and traveling in the mountains. She always had a beautiful yard filled with flowers and trees for the chickadees and other birds to congregate in. She drove a school bus for District 38 for over 22 years and loved her school bus children.
She was preceded in death by her parents Homer and Pauline, her brother Don Stanhope, her sister Nadine Sweeney, a granddaughter Grace, a grandson Nicholas, five great-grandchildren and her loving dogs Nikki and Moses.
She is survived by her husband Tom Blomstrom, her children Gregg Gowen, Christi Prettyman, M arci (Matt) Miles, Doug (Julie) Gowen and her corgi Laddie. Her smile was contagious and genuine. She will be greatly missed.
Cremation services will be handled through Crippin Funeral Home. There will be a private service held at a later date to honor her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s name may be made out to the ASPCA, Hope West Hospice or, if you choose, plant a flower or tree in her honor.
