Leonardo Grajeda-Salazar passed away on June 5, 2016 in Cedaredge, Colorado. Leonardo was born to Leonardo and Paula (Salazar) Grajeda on February 9, 1967 in Chihuahua, Mexico. Leonardo grew up in Chihuahua until his teen years and then moved to Colorado where he grew up. Leonardo met and then married the love of his life Neddy Velasquez on October 24, 1995 in Delta, Colorado. Leonardo loved his job working for the Uncompahgre Valley Water Users in structures and as a machine operator. Leonardo enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, and dancing; but he loved his dog, Jet, and all of his children and grandchildren.

Leonardo is survived by his wife Neddy Grajeda of Montrose, CO; his son Armando (Veronica) Grajeda of Greeley, CO; his daughters Latoya (Marco) Ramirez of Fort Morgan, CO, and Amy (James Fogg) Grajeda of Montrose, CO; his brothers Saul Grajeda of Glenwood Springs, CO, Gerardo (Teri) of Delta, CO, Humberto (Romona) Grajeda of Montrose, CO, Jorge (Rosa) Grajeda of Chihuahua, Mexico, Paulo (Betty) Grajeda of Chihuahua, Mexico; his sisters Estela (Esteban) Rivera-Carta of Montrose, CO, Lupe (Matthew) Perea of Roy, Utah, Rosa (Poncho) Gaspar of Montrose, CO, Lilia (Efren) Caraveo of Chihuahua, Mexico;  and 6 grandchildren. Leonardo is preceded in death by his parents Paula and Leonardo, his brother Jose Manual Grajeda, and his sister Irma Grajeda.

A Rosary and Vigil was held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass was held in Leonardo’s honor at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, burial followed at Grand View Cemetery. Arrangements have been taken care of by Crippin Funeral Home and Grand View Cemetery.
