Leona Theresa Turner, age 87, passed away on July 20, 2017 at Atria Park of Applewood in Lakewood, Colorado. Leona was born June 15, 1930 in Poultney, Vermont to John and Frances (Shelosky) Grabowski. She spent her childhood in Poultney, Vermont and graduated from nurses training in Burlington, Vermont.
Leona is survived by her three children, Stephan Turner of Durango Colorado, Patrick Turner of Waldorf Maryland and Linda Silver of Arvada Colorado. Joining her children in remembrance are their spouses Regina, Jennifer and Nathan. Leona lives on through her grandchildren David and Cate Turner. Leona leaves her brothers John and Paul Grabowski.
Leona is preceded in death by her husband Dan K. Turner as well as her parents John and Frances Grabowski.
A graveside remembrance will be held for Leona Saturday, September 16, 2017, 1:00 PM, at the Riverside Bethlehem Cemetery in Hotchkiss, Colorado. Feldman Mortuary of Denver and Crippin Funeral Home and Crematory of Montrose, are assisting the family with arrangements. A Celebration of Leona’s life will be held immediately after the burial at Hotchkiss.
