Lawrence Raymond Sutton was born October 31, 1927 in Liberal, Kansas to James Sutton and Ruth Cook. Lawrence moved to Colorado with his family to the western slope in 1933. At age 19, Lawrence served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in the Philippine Islands. Following his time in the service he earned his communication license and eventually was employed by Aernautical Radio. During this time he met and married Dorothy Dull in 1954 and made their home in Denver, Colorado. Together, they raised three children. Lawrence retired from Rocky Flats in 1990. Lawrence enjoyed fishing, wood working, and spending time with his family.

Lawrence is survived by his wife of sixty years Dorothy, daughter Peggy (Ivan), and two sons, Steve (Janet), Tom (Carolyn). Brother-in-laws Harvey (Allison) and Norman (Joanne) Dull. Sister-In-laws Jan Dull, Barbara Sutton, and Frieda Sutton. He leaves behind six grandchildren Andrew, Chad (Brittany), Chris, Eric, Rachael, and Jacob. Three great grandchildren Clive, Peyton, and Lilly; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lawrence is predeceased by his parents James and Ruth, four brothers and three sisters. No services are planned. A private grave site service will be planned at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Volunteers of America. Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home and Crematory.
