Laurie Arlene Etter Clauson Stahly, age 55, passed away quickly at San Juan Living Center in Montrose, CO. Laurie was born May 6, 1963 to Larry Lawrence and Arlene (Burh) Etter in Colorado Springs, CO. Laurie spent most of her childhood in Rifle, Colorado and graduated from Rifle High School and the Delta-Montrose Vocational Tech School in Delta, CO. She earned her associates in Nursing and worked as an L.P.N. for many years on the Western Slope. Laurie was previously married to Bobby Clauson, whom she survived. On August 4, 2002 Laurie married Norman Stahly, who she loved for more than 16 years.
Laurie is survived by her beloved husband Norman Stahly of Montrose, CO., her son, Wesley Clauson of Montrose, CO; her daughters Stacie Brown and Victoria Stahly of Montrose, CO., her brothers Doran Etter of Eckert, CO., Fred Etter of Eagle, CO., Greg Etter of Grand Junction, CO., her sister Evelyn Monckton of Denver, CO and four beautiful grandchildren.
A Memorial Service and celebration of Laurie’s life will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the Cedaredge Town Park in Cedaredge, CO. Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory in Montrose, CO. is assisting the family.
