Kerry Jean Carl

Kerry Jean Carl,  Carl, 57, died early Friday morning, September 26, at Montrose Memorial Hospital where she was being treated for cancer.     She was born April 30, 1957, in Grand Junction, Colorado, and had lived in Lake City since 1974, serving as Hinsdale County Treasurer from 1993 until her death.

Survivors are her husband of nearly 40 years, Thomas V. Carl, Lake City, and two sons, Ron Carl, Rifle, Colorado, and Duane Carl, Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Other survivors include three grandchildren; her mother, Alice Johnston, Grand Junction; brothers and sister, Mike Connor and Alan Connor, both of Grand Junction, Cindy Brown, Lakewood, Colorado; sister-in-law, Beverly Jensen, Goodyear, Arizona; mother-in-law, Verna Teresa Quintana and her husband, Joe Quintana, Montrose.

Celebration of Life service for long-time Lake City resident Kerry Jean (Connor) Carl will be held starting 2 p.m. Saturday, October 4, at the Armory in downtown Lake City, followed by potluck luncheon.  Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory,  Montrose, Co.
