Kenneth William Kohlenberg, age 90, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at the Homestead of Montrose.  Ken was born on July 22, 1926 to William and Ida (Siever) Kohlenberg in Bunker Hill, Illinois. Ken grew up in Illinois and continued on to become an Aerospace Engineer for Lockheed Martin. Ken spent many years in Centennial, Colorado before moving to Montrose, Colorado in 2010 to be closer to his family and the beautiful Western Slope area. Ken was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He loved to read, take trips to the mountains, reading and observing vintage airplanes, and he even recently took a fall color flight over the Black Canyon and along the Uncompahgre Plateau!

Ken is survived by his two daughters Carol Harper and Kim Gosnell, his son Bryan Kohlenberg, two granddaughters, one grandson, and two great-granddaughters. Ken is preceded in death by his wife Betty Sue and parents William and Ida Kohlenberg. Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home and Crematory.
