Katy Doris Edmond, age 78, of Montrose, Colorado died December 17, 2015 at her home.  Katy was born September 4, 1937 in Valley, North Carolina to William Tellis and Frances (Hughes) McKinney.  She spent her childhood in Ohio and Colorado then graduating high school in Adams City, Colorado.  Katy married Tommy Karst on December 7, 1954 and they divorced and then he preceded Katy in death on April 18, 2005.  She married Wendell Baker on November 28, 1978 and he preceded her in death in February 1995.  Katy married Harry Edward Edmond on September 9, 1999 in Montrose, and resided in Montrose and made their home until Katy passed away.

Katy was a member of The Jehovah Witnesses.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, and she and Harry enjoyed dancing, and the outdoors, and gardening.

Surviving family members include her husband, Harry of the family home; son Tommy (Lori) Karst Jr of Aurora, Colorado; two daughters  Kandi (Saad) Karst Al-Harthi  of Fresno, California/Saudi Arabia; Alice Karst of Grand Junction, Colorado; one brother  Paul McKinney; a sister Mary Kinsey both of Brighton, Colorado; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren;  step children Edward (Trish) of Gardendale, Texas, Mary (Phil) Dull of Olathe, Colorado and Barbara (Joe) Groshart of Montrose, Colorado; Katy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Betty Nelson and brothers William McKinney and Larry McKinney and one grandson Haatan Al-Harthi.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at   the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 16672 Woodgate Road in Montrose, Colorado 81401.  The Service will conclude at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at Grand View Cemetery, West of Montrose.  Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, west of Montrose will assist the family
