Kathryn Gates united with her Lord on January 9, 2023.  She was 91.  Kathryn was also known as Kit, Kitty, Kathy, Aunt Kit, Mom and Grandma by friends and family.  Kathryn and her husband of more than 75 years moved from Omaha to their beloved Western Slope in the 1990s where they spent the rest of their time with a beautiful mountain view, providing a drink for the deer and food for the birds.

A lifelong Presbyterian and always a giver, she missed community very much during COVID isolation.  She missed especially her Sunshine Circle friends.  Kathryn is survived by her husband, Robert Gates; her brother, Frederick Adams; her sister Helen Rabel; her children, Deanna, David and Timothy; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

The family will plan and announce a memorial service in the spring.  In lieu of flowers, please send gifts to First Presbyterian Church, 1840 E. Niagara Rd, Montrose, CO 81401.
