Joy (Williams) Wyatt

August 13, 1956 ~ February 5, 2014

Joy Wyatt, age 57, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 5, 2014.  Joy was born August 13, 1956 to Roger Lewis and Lila (Collins) Williams at Montrose, Colorado.  She grew up in Norwood where she graduated high school then went to college in Riverside California for art.  She married her best friend, Corbin C. Wyatt on July 19, 1975.

Joy was a true joy to know.  She was always smiling and very quick witted like her father, Roger Williams, even if they were the only ones laughing.  Her smile would light up a room and her personality would draw you in.  Her arms were always open to “lost” children for which she had many. She was loved by her family and will be truly missed by them as well.

Surviving family members include her beloved husband, Corbin C. Wyatt of Price, Utah; mother Lila Williams-Zeck of Montrose; father and mother-in-law Earl and Dorothy Wyatt of Bolivar, Missouri  three children, Brian (April) Wyatt,  Chrystal (Daniel) Gates, Amber Wyatt; her brothers and sisters David (Katie) Williams, Lewis (Sharon) Williams, Marilyn Williams and Nancy (Rod) Pyland; Joy and Corbin had ten loving grandchildren; Devyn, Austin, Evan, Savanah, Ryan, Cole, Chaya, Sara, and of course Bear and Rowdy; sister-in-laws Vonnie Kirkham Howlett, Vickie (Luis) Wyatt Jacobs; Aunts and Uncles Boyd (Gayle) Collins, Darlene (Eugene) Rummel, Bailey Collins, and Berniece Oliver, and Louise Smith.  Joy was preceded in death by her father, Roger Williams, and her new daddy, M.C. Zeck, and grandchildren Westin Williams Wyatt and Braxten Lee Sandoval.

A visitation for family and friends was held on February 10, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel.  A Funeral Service in celebration of Joy’s life took place on February 11, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Trail Head Church, formerly the Pentecostal Church on Main Street in Norwood, at 2:00 p.m.  Interment l followed the service in Norwood Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Co.
