John Dale McCleary

In loving memory of John Dale McCleary, 54, of Montrose, CO, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at St. Mary’s Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Born September 30, 1964 in Montrose, CO, he was the son of the late Jess McCleary Sr. and Viola Morlang Frye. He was the fourth sibling to Loriann Phillips, Ruby Frye, the late Jess McCleary Jr., and the late Laurie Etta Malone.

John is survived by his wife of 20 years, Carmen McCleary; 6 children Mike Pavelich of North Dakota; John Teacher of Olathe, CO; Courtney McCleary of Alabama; Chris, Amber and A.J. McCleary of Grand Junction, CO; and grandchildren Hayden Pavelich and Jameston Lapa. John loved family, fishing, camping, and the outdoors.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Menoken Christian Church in Montrose, CO on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
