John Blaylock, 71, of Montrose Colorado, two days shy of his 72 birthday, has begun his “last long run,” on November 29th, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Ginny Blaylock; his daughter Amy Hoskings, stepdaughter Karen Randolph, stepson Scott Faison, and many loving grandchildren.
John was born in Cotton Plant, Arkansas, on December 1st 1942 to the late Johnie and Ora Blaylock.
Through most of his adult life John’s passion was running. John and Ginny were two pioneers of the Trail Running phenomena. John ran everything from the 5K Fun Run to being a 2x finisher of the Arkansas Traveler 100 mile race. Together with his life long running partner Ginny, and always with one of their four legged best friends at their side, John continuously searched for new “off the beaten paths” to lead them through his life of adventures.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at the home of Peg and Dave Evanoika, 2151 6450 Rd. in Montrose, on Thursday December 4th. Please stop by anytime between 3pm and 6pm and join us for a celebration of John’s life.

Box 790, Montrose Co. 81402. Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Co.
