Jimmy Eugene Armour

Jimmy Eugene Armour, age 68, passed away in his home on February 3, 2016, after a lengthy illness with loved ones at his side. Jimmy was born June 13, 1947 to Jesse James Armour and Virginia Kay Armour in Montrose, CO. He attended Montrose schools and graduated in 1965. He entered the service and served his country from 1965-1969 aboard the U.S.S. Boston CA-69. He was a life member of the VFW. On June 16, 1971 he married Judy DeVinny. They had two wonderful children, Allison Kay and Christopher Scott Armour. Jimmy worked for John Deere for 30 years. He retired in October 2011 from his passion, selling implement equipment. Jimmy is preceded in death by father Jesse James and mother Virginia Kay. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 45 years, daughter Allison and husband Forrest McNulty, son Christopher, grandson; Logan and wife Ashley and great granddaughter Kinsley McNulty, brother Jesse and wife Lisa Armour, brother Jed Armour, and sister Cathy Feider and husband Jim. Jimmy loved camping, riding his motorcycle, teaching hunter’s safety education, participating as a member of the Patriot Guard and Legion Riders, but most of all he loved his family and his friends and touched so many in his lifetime. There will be a memorial service in the spring. More information will be posted in the Daily Press at that time. Thank you to all that made his life spectacular, he will be greatly missed.
