Jerry Lavern Moore

November 18, 1928 — March 13, 2017

Jerry Lavern Moore, 88, of Grand Junction, CO, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at

his home in Grand Junction, following a brief illness.

Jerry was born in Montrose, CO on November 18, 1928 to Roy and Carmen Moore. Jerry

married Ruth Marsh in 1948 and together had 5 children. In 1968, Jerry married Stella Hess

and together had 1 child.

Jerry was raised in Montrose, CO and spent most of his life in Grand Junction, CO. In 1958,

Jerry started Western Colorado Exterminating which later became Jerry’s Pest Control and is

still in business today operated by Jerry’s son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Susan Moore.

Jerry will be remembered for his never ending willingness to help with a project and his

wonderful sense of humor.

Jerry is preceded in death by parents Roy and Carmen Moore, sister Barbara Hughes, sister

Reva Davis, wife Stella Moore and son Alan Stewart.

Jerry is survived by many children and step children: Mary (Gary) Greenfield, Danny Moore,

Roy (Susan) Moore, Frank (Tammy) Moore, Carmen (John) Wallers, Jolynn (Russ) Williams,

Rodney (Linda) Ingersoll, Jim Ingersoll, Scot (Stacey) Stewart; as well as Brother Jim Moore

and numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great, Great Grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am at Grand View Cemetery in Montrose on Saturday,

March 18, 2017. Arrangements are made by Crippin Funeral Home of Montrose, CO.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to:  The National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.  Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory in Montrose is assisting the family.
