Jenny O. Hudecek, age 98, of Montrose, Colorado died March 19, 2014 at The Homestead of Montrose.  Jenny was born to Robert and Anna (Hrudicka) Nespechal in Chicago, Illinois.  She spent her childhood in Chicago and graduated from Harrison Technical High School  and went on to college at Wright Junior College both in Chicago, and received an Associate Degree in business.

Jenny married James Hudecek on June 8, 1935 in Chicago, and he preceded her in death on May 23, 1961.  She had resided in Riverton, Utah, Joliet and Cicero, Illinois, Rialto, California, Bend, Oregon and Grand Junction, before moving to Montrose, where she made her home until her time of death. 

Jenny was a bookkeeper for many years prior to her retirement.  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and fixing puzzles.  Surviving family members include her daughter Dolores A. (David) Drayer of Montrose, Co; three grandchildren David P. Drayer, Darrin Michael Drayer and Dodd Matthew Drayer; three great-grandchildren Tristen Drayer, Aidan Drayer and Teagan Drayer.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two brothers Robert Nespechal Jr., and John Nespechal; two sisters Helen Zahradnik and Virginia Astor.

At Jenny’s request, cremation has taken place and no services are planned.  Arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Colorado
