Jennifer Lynn, age 64, passed away on August 20, 2015, after a 14 year battle  with cancer.  Jennifer was born May 15, 1951 in Denver, Colorado.  She lived her entire life in Colorado, but enjoyed spending part of the summer on the Oregon Coast.   Teaching was her life-long passion and joy.  She taught for thirty-eight years, with most of them being in the Montrose area, including the Montrose School District when her name was Jennifer Hess.

She loved the great outdoors, and was happy when she was camping or hiking.  She also loved to dance.  She was very thankful for her family and the many wonderful friends in her life.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Hedley.  Jenn is survived by her father, Jim Hedley, sister, Judy (Jerry) Rosencranz, her brother, Jim (Kristine)Hedley Jr., nieces and nephews, Tracy (Brant) Richards, Ashley, James, Sean, and Meaghan Hedley, and great nieces, Taylor and Alexa Richards.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bosom Buddies, 645 S, 5th Street, Montrose, Co. 81401 or The Montrose Library, for the Jennifer Lynn Permanent Book Fund, 320 S. 2nd Street, Montrose, Co. 81401.

A Celebration of Jennifer’s life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Montrose United Methodist Church. The service will conclude at the Church with a reception in Baldridge Hall immediately following the service. Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, of Montrose is assisting the family.
