James Sinclair Denton passed away on November 3, 2021 in Montrose, Colorado. James (“Jim”) was born October 9, 1947 in Bowling Green, Kentucky to David Alan Denton and Mildred Sinclair Denton.

Jim grew up in Kentucky, graduating from Waggener High School and the University of Louisville. His interests in youth included theater performance and baseball. His career included positions in Marketing with Brown Forman and Kentucky Fried Chicken, and later Real Estate and Consulting. He moved his family west in the mid-1970s, and lived in Colorado and Arizona, raising four children with his former spouse, Anita Garrison.

Jim is survived by his brother, David Denton, sons Jay, Ashley and Kevin and their spouses Kim, Becky and Lynelle, daughter Kelly Collins and spouse Jon, 16 grand-children and 2 great- grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents .

A private ceremony for family is planned.
