James "Marvin" Harding

d. March 26, 2019

James “Marvin” Harding completed his journey here with us on Tuesday, March 26th just five days short of his 84th birthday. His great sense of humor will be deeply missed, but we will be left with an abundance of special memories.  If you were lucky enough to know him, you would agree that he was someone very special.

Marv had a full life not only with family and friends he held dear, but he also rode rodeos while working on a few ranches, he served in the Army during the Korean War, raced stock cars, flew as a private pilot, enjoyed deep-sea fishing, and owned multiple automotive businesses throughout the years.

He was proceeded in passing not only by his son Gene Allan, his youngest daughter Colleen Kay and his wife Joyce Janet, but also by his brother Clifford and his sister Barbara.

Marv is survived by his daughter Tammy Jo, her husband Andy, his granddaughter Charity Lynn, her husband Dave, and by his grandson Andy James and his wife Annalisa. Marv had also been blessed with great-grandchildren Tyler, Sydney, and Rylee.  He is also survived by his brothers Jerry and Dennis, his sisters Marleen and Helen, and his brother-in-law Eli. Sadly Marv leaves behind the special lady in his life, Mary Seeley.

An Open House Reception will be held in Marv’s honor on Sunday, April 7th from 2-5:00 pm at the United Church of Christ Hillcrest Congregational Worship, 611 S. Hillcrest, Montrose, 81401.
