James Duane Hillyard

James Duane Hillyard, of Montrose, passed away at San Juan Living Center on October 20, 2016. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, to James Monroe Hillyard and Edna Pearl Barnette.
There he met the love of his life Judith. They were married on December 14, 1962, then they later moved to Denver where he worked at Accutronics as a welder and retired in 2003. Then they moved to Montrose, Colorado. Jim had a love for his pets, fishing, camping, hunting, and riding his Goldwing. Jim enjoyed walking around the neighborhood getting to know all the neighbors. He was a big Denver Broncos fan and enjoyed watching or listening to the games. He is survived by his wife Judith of Montrose, Colorado. Daughter Connie, grandson Sabastian, granddaughter Misty, and cousins. Jim is preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.
