Jack LeRoy Jaragoske
December 28, 1936 – March 11, 2015
Jack LeRoy Jaragoske; age 78 of Montrose, Colorado, passed away March 11, 2015 at his home. Jack was born December 28, 1936 to Roy J. Manworring and Ruby Jorgensen in Des Moines, Iowa. He spent his childhood in Huron and Redfield, South Dakota and graduated from Redfield High School in 1955. Jack served his country in the United States Air Force from September 14, 1956 until his honorable discharge on June 23, 1960.
Jack remarried in June 28, 2001 to Judy Richter in Akeley, Minnesota. Jack was previously married to Daunine R. Jaragoske where they lived in Denver, Colorado. After four years in the Air Force. Jack was employed as an Electrical Engineer, worked for the rail road, was a flight instructor, and worked for Gates Rubber Company then retired.
Jack and Judy have been a resident of Montrose for 14 years and where they made their home until Jack’s passing. They became members of Victory Baptist Church in Montrose.
Jack loved the outdoors, and enjoyed golf, baseball, football, hunting, fishing, and loved his animals. Most of all he enjoyed the past 14 years with his wife Judy enjoying every moment of their time together.
Surviving family members include his wife, Judy Jaragoske of the family home in Montrose.
Stepchildren; James L. Mosley, Sarah Larkowski Stearns and Amy Larkowski Cooley all reside in Denver, Colorado. Surviving family members include his ex-wife Daunine Jaragoske from Denver, Colorado.
Jack and Daunine’s daughters: Pamela R. Rodgers, and Christine A. Childers. They have 7 grandchildern and 7 great grandchildren.
At Jack’s request, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HopeWest Hospice, in memory of Jack, P.O. Box 1804, Montrose, Co. 81402. Crippin Funeral Home, Montrose, Colorado is assisting the family.
